Chapter 4 was reviewed in full before starting chapter 5 with section 5.1.  Tonight's homework is page 53 and 54 from the workbook, all problems including the FCAT are to be done.

Don't forget that tomorrow will be a quiz on special right triangles and on Friday there will be a Unit Circle quiz (specially requested by K. Garcia).

Chapter 4 was completed today. Tonight's homework is pg.43 #2,4,6,8; pg.45 #6 and 8; pg 47-48 all; and pg.49 #7.

There will be a special right triangle quiz on Thursday.

We will be cutting fabric on Friday so that you may begin sewing over the weekend.

Today we covered 3 sections; 3.4, 4.1, and 4.2. Homework will be from the workbook, as usual, 3-4 # 1-14, 4-1 odd numbers only, and 4-2 #1-9.

Study for a quiz on special right triangles which will be one day this week. The next chapter test will be a combination of chapters 3 and 4 and will be given approximately May 7 or 8, of next week.

Today was a day of drawing. Drawing circles, then inscribing regular polygons such as pentagons, quadrilaterals, and hexagons. Finding the length of each side, the angle measures, and the areas was all review. Tomorrow, Friday, with the sub, each student should review sections 3-5 Lines in the Coordinate Plane and 3-6 Slopes of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines. Both of the sections are a review of Algebra 1. I will cover sections 3-4 and 3-7 on Monday.
Classwork on Friday will be page 175 #35 - 43 and page 692 #21 - 28. You may use the graph stamp for the graphing.

4/23

Today in class we covered 3 sections, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3. Tonights homework with be various problems from the corresponding workbook pages. 3.1- #'s 1-6, 10-15; 3.2- 8-13, and 3.3- 1, 7,8,9,18,19,20.

Thursday is an early release day and I will have a substitute on Friday 4/25. The vocab test will take place on Friday as scheduled.

Today we completed chapter 2. Tonights HW will be the workbook pages for 2-3 and 2-5, only do the even numbers for 2-3 but complete all for 2-5.

There is a test on Chapters 1 and 2, Tuesday, 4/22 (EARTH DAY). A vocabulary test will be given next week, date will not be announced (surprise).

There will be a vocab check this week.

Tonights homework is 2-1 in the workbook, even problems only (omit #14). And then do 2-2 in the workbook but odds only.
Your quilt square, made of the brown paper, is due on Friday. Do not come to class with it incomplete or you will receive a zero (0). If it is complete, yet incorrect, your grade will be out of 25, depending on how "off" it is.

Today was a day of drawing. Constructions!!!!!!! You will be tested on constructions in the near future and I intend to spend the next two days working on them in class, but after that you will have to practice on your own. You might want to consider purchasing the protractor and compass. Tomorrow's test has 15 questions, 9 from chapter 10 and the other 6 from circles, triangles, and trig. ratios. YOU MUST HAVE THE FORMULAS MEMORIZED!

Covered 1-3 and 1-4 in class. HW will be the corresponding workbook pages. 1-3 #'s 1-6, 7, 10, 13, 15, 17. 1-4 #'s 1-3, 5-6, 9-11, 12-17, 21, 22. Your Unit Circle test will be tomorrow.

Practice using a protractor. If you do not have one at home you can come by the classroom in the mornings before school and use one from the class set.

Sections 1.1 and 1.2 were covered in class. HW is the corresponding page for each section from the workbook, 1.1 #'s 2,4,5,8,12,15,16,17,18 and 1.2 #'s 1,2,4-15,16,18,21,24,25,28,30

Don't forget the test on Chapter 10, Thursday 4/10, and there will be a unit circle test this week.

The last section of ch.10, 10-8 was covered in class today. Tonight's homework is the corresponding page from the workbook. Chapter 10 will be on the midterm, however, the chapter test will be on Thursday, 4/10, the week we come back after spring break.

Section 10-7, Volume and Surface Area of Spheres was covered in class and the corresponding workbook page needs to be completed for homework.

Section 10-5 was covered in class and the corresponding workbook page was completed during class. Section 10-6 was also covered and its corresponding workbook page needs to be completed for homework.

March18th

Homework is PHWB pg121-122, all. For those who did not complete last nights HW make sure that do it tonight.

Unit Circle Quiz will be Thursday, 3/20. You will have to draw the entire circle and the time will be 8 minutes.

There will be a vocab check on Thursday. Make sure you are up-to-date with chapters: 7, 9, 11,10

New quilts

The rubric and dimensions for your next quilts will be given to you AFTER spring break, not before as previously stated.
